The Legacy of Catholic Social Teaching - Sharing “Our Best Kept Secret”  
-An invitation to deepen our Catholic Faith and to broaden our horizons on the Wealth of Good News nestled in Catholic documents over the past 100 years.
-An opportunity to explore critical social issues of our time in light of principles of social justice embodied in Catholic teaching and the Sermon on the Mount.

StateVermont Refugee Resettlement Program:  
The Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program has received notice that refugees from country-regionBurma, country-regionBhutan, country-regionTanzania, and placecountry-regionIraq will be arriving throughout the next year.  Volunteers to help new families settle are needed.  Contact Marcia Stone, VRRP Community Services Coordinator at 318-1517 if you are interested in getting involved.  There are many different levels of participation and you can find what suits you best.

Hunger and the Nutrition Safety Net in PlaceNameChittenden PlaceTypeCounty:  
A workshop and discussion for staff and volunteers who assist low-income PlaceNameChittenden PlaceTypeCounty residents at schools, health centers, food shelves, community organizations, and state agencies will be held on Tuesday, June 10th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at placePlaceTypeTemple PlaceNameSinai, addressStreet500 Swift Street, South CityBurlington.  The workshop will include an in-depth look at hunger, the high cost of lost potential, and solutions to hunger.  If you have any questions or to register, please contact Eileen Hyde at EHyde@vtnohunger.org or 865-0255.
