Baptism:
A baptism in our parish is cause for celebration for our entire worshiping community. Newborns as well as older children and adults are welcomed into our Catholic community either by sharing this special moment at a regularly scheduled Mass or in another celebration.

Reconciliation:
Known also as Confession, this Sacrament can help us to heal, to feel reconciled with God and to grow spiritually. It is made available Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. at St. Jude Parish, or by appointment with Father Cray.

Holy Eucharist:
As part of the K-8 religious education program, children will be prepared for First Reconciliation and First Communion by a two-year program in the 1st and 2nd grade. Parents wishing their children to make their First Reconciliation and First Communion must assure that they attend both the religious education program and Mass regularly so that they can reach this important milestone in their spiritual life.

Confirmation:
The religious education program in the 9th and 10th grades is designed to prepare our young adults for Confirmation. Parents wishing their children to make their Confirmation must assure that they attend both the religious education program and Mass regularly – after all, they're confirming their faith!

Marriage:
Our quaint country church provides for a picture-perfect wedding, but it takes more than a successful wedding day to make a successful marriage. We ask couples to give the Pastor at least six months advance notice so that sufficient time can be invested in preparing them for the Sacrament of Marriage. Pre-Cana classes and guidelines for marriage in the Catholic Church are among the items Father Cray will discuss with couples.

Holy Orders:
In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or Ordination, the priest being ordained vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments (especially the Eucharist), by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing other means to holiness.

Anointing of the Sick:
Along with life's joys come life's challenges and losses. At Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, we pray together for the sick and recently departed members of our parish and we are prepared to help you and your family through difficult times in several ways.
Father Cray administers the Sacrament of Healing to parishioners suffering from illness as the rest of the attendees at Mass pray for healing.
Members of the Faith in Action Ministry can add you and your family members to their monthly prayer list. To have a name added to the Prayer List, please contact Sheila Duffy at 425-7221.
Members of our Faith in Action Ministry can discuss other ways in which we can be of assistance to you and your family. Please see the Faith in Action page for more information.
In the event of a death in the family, please contact Father Cray. In addition to funeral Mass and burial arrangements made with the Pastor, parishioners can provide meals at the parish hall so family and friends can gather together after a funeral.
